ABOUT Marathon village

Marathon Village is a piece of Nashville history. According to the official Marathon Village website, the Marathon Village buildings were built between 1881 and 1912 for the production of Marathon Motor Cars, an ambitious car production project by William Henry Collier.

The buildings began renovation in 1988 by owner Barry Lyle Walker, who purchased the run-down facility in 1986. Marathon Village has come a long way since then, and many amazing businesses call it home, including Corsair, William Collier’s, The Bang Candy Company, and Antique Archaeology. Many of Nashville’s creative companies, such as Lightning 100, also have their offices in the historic property.

Marathon Village will see growth over the coming years as more renovation occurs. Though it’s not your typical neighborhood with apartment complexes and numerous restaurants, it’s definitely a creative, compelling area of Nashville worth experiencing.
